Emily Rapoport is the founding owner and principal of Rapoport Law PLLC (formerly known as Oveissi Law PLLC which she established in 2010). She focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, and special needs planning, and is licensed in Virginia, Maryland and D.C. She works closely with clients and their advisors to establish effective estate plans which incorporate asset protection and tax minimization/avoidance strategies associated with the transfer of wealth. Emily also enjoys assisting clients with guardianship proceedings and maintaining government assistance eligibility for family members who qualify as disabled. Her combined financial and civil litigation experience supports her clients’ estate and succession planning goals. Emily earned her Juris Doctor from the Catholic School of Law in Washington, D.C. and is a native of the D.C. metropolitan area. She currently lives in McLean with her three daughters and a bossy chihuahua.
Before a career in real estate, Crissy worked in advertising, direct sales team management, and with her husband, Michael, in their former marine sales and storage business. She spent her first several years in Charleston assisting a clinical research training program at the Medical University of South Carolina which was a springboard for her real estate niche representing medical professional clients.
Crissy and husband Michael, who is also a Realtor®, live in Mount Pleasant with their daughter and son who attend school on the Charleston peninsula. Family time is spent immersed in sports practice and games, boating the local waterways, swimming at the I’On Club pool, and exploring Historic Charleston. The family humbly serves the Charleston community through various volunteer opportunities every year. Crissy and Michael hope to share their love for all things Lowcountry and real estate with you and your family, too.
